The best thing we can do for poverty is to get the government to stop getting in the way of, or penalizing wealth creation.

But that won't "cure" poverty, at least not "relative poverty" (meaning inequality).

In terms of absolute poverty, in a sense its largely cured. In the past someone was poor pretty much only if they faced starvation. But the standards for what gets considered enough to move out of poverty keep rising. There is some sense in that, but if you have a standard that moves up over time, then you are unlikely to get everyone past the standard.

LBJ's Great Society has been a disaster as has continuing to double down on Reagan's 'trickle down economics' Both parties are the problem beholden to their special interests IMHO.. Most scary of all the fascist state with domination by the MIC controls both parties to no end.. Why JFK Died and Why it Matters the 50th anniversary coming next month started it all unfortunately..

We know exactly how to cure poverty.
You think you know how to "cure" wealth. Curing wealth does not equate to curing poverty.
