ExxonMobile takes out full page ad in Today's WSJ to support common core curriculum:

In an an essay by chairmen and CEO Rex Tillerson the ad explains:

Exxon Mobile tests for Math and Science aptitude for many entry level positions to include mechanics, lab technicians, and blend and processing technicians, but that many applicants fail these tests.

Common Core State Standards are of benefit in solving this problem inasmuch that they encourage students to analyze and apply critical reasoning skills to the texts they are reasoning and the math problems are solving.

Students need the capabilities developed by Common ore in order to successfully apply for high skill jobs.

So support Common Core standards as they deserve to be in the fore front of making America competitive and opening economic opportunities to our young people.
