If they don't think they're getting paid enough at their current (taxpayer funded) jobs, they can always look for more lucrative opportunities elsewhere. They get into a union, and bargain collectively, and get a raise, because they're important enough collectively to be worth more than they would alone. By coming together, they're capable of earning more. Shouldn't be anything wrong with that. -Z

I repeat why is Tench worth six figures and transit workers are not allowed to make a living wage? What a stupid question. They're "allowed" to make as much money as they're capable of earning. If they don't think they're getting paid enough at their current (taxpayer funded) jobs, they can always look for more lucrative opportunities elsewhere. Why can't they try to get raise? Why do they have to find another job? Don't worry though.
