You should watch every investment carefully. Any investment
liquadated in distress will probably suffer a loss.

For me, these are not long term investments, except of course
if it takes gold a long time to turn around. I would not sell to a
'man on the street' but to the coin store that offers me the best
price.

I dont know about 1980 .... PCGS was begun around 1984 or so,
to protect investors from the coin dealers. These are not expensive
rare coins, but only about $1000 each currently, and very liquid.

I would say they are investment grade coins, not collector grade.

To each his own, of course, but IMO every precious metal
portfolio should have bullion, numismatics and stocks at least;
and futures and options etc for the more daring.

Regards.
