Those are impressive numbers. Maybe there's something to be said for global warming after all.

In the S. Gobi of Mongolia they call that type of weather a dzud.

I just remembered a small wooden carving my grandma had, which had been carved in the likeness of the cow in Russell's painting "Waiting for a Chinook." I was little at the time, but it was a very good rendition. I seem to remember that my uncle carved it.
