Your posts have disrespected Putin. Now his opinion is somehow valued. Putin is not a lawyer. Read the laws of Piracy. A drilling platform located in waters that can kill in less than an hour is a manifest dangerous place. Any act that can lead to the possible deaths of the workers in such a place or deadly accidents, explosions or massive pollution or increase the possibility are piracy. Any distraction from normal operations is such action.

Such is what all non really stupid asses understand. Where does the fish brain swim????

Hi Land Shark; Re "definition of piracy". Here's how the UN defines it:

"any illegal acts of violence or detention, or any act of depredation, committed for private ends by the crew or the passengers of a private ship or a private aircraft and directed: (i) on the high seas, against another ship or aircraft, or against persons or property on board such ship or aircraft;"

Not sure what "detention" means under the law. Glad I'm not sitting in Russian jail wondering these sorts of questions, LOL. I'm going to guess that "detention" means that Greenpeace won't be operating in that part of the world anymore. And it could be quite some time before the Russian let go of the Greenpeace ship that they collected for "evidence". And I understand they may have broken some contraband laws. Haven't heard any word of the Russians hitting them with their laws against (foreign?) gays.

Hey, did you see the article in Mother Jones bemoaning how badly the global warming war is going for you? If you haven't seen it, tell me and I'll give you a link. The article made me feel really good. Like when your alma mater beats its rival in the last football game of the season.
