100% agree. They tinker around the edges and ignore the elephant on the table. Our leaders and our citizens want things they aren't willing to pay for. I'm all for great programs like universal healthcare, but we need to pay for it by cuts to other programs or an increase in taxes, not print money or sell debt to pay for it, which puts the cost on future generations.
