Read www.wake first . As good as www.wake is, the second book of the www.Watch trilogy is much better. It is told through the eyes of a young girl, so you will be able to relate to her. Although I hear you are now questioning if you are a man. That will serve you well when reading Hominids-lol. This guy is writing all the books I would have liked to have written if I could have. His subject matter is always so interesting and he is a natural story teller. And I don't know how he can know so much? The only other books I can think of that compare are Enders Game and Watership Down and neither taught one much. This guy not only tells a story equal to Clavell's Shogun , but he constantly teaches you edge of knowledge stuff throughout all his books. I can feel myself growing intellectually as I read him. So much stuff I never knew or never thought of.
