Not extending the debt ceiling doesn't even equal default (since payments on the debt are less than federal revenue), and actual default isn't anarchy. Not even close to the truth 100% true. 278 people either voted the PPACA in to law or signed it in to law, our of around 315 million Americans. As for "more Americans oppose the law than support it" the polls have demonstrated this consistently. Some show a majority opposing, others only a plurality, but poll after poll after poll shows more opposing than supporting. Re: House using its normal legal powers. Of course it is. Exactly.
