Hank,
I would have to think the ML broker is either a)new b)stupid or c)not an ML broker. Why would you try to encourage a client to short a stock on which your own company has a buy recommendation with a price target of 80? Certainly there are better candidates out there for shorting.
Melissa

I don't own any ORCL, thank God. I only watch it as a barometer for the tech stocks. PSFT is being pulled down today, partly because of the ORCL press. Don't forget ORCL is still the number one installed DBMS on the market, definitely for PSFT as well.

Were the Oracle numbers bad for applications, database or both? I heard they are trying to blame it on lower than expected revenues from the Asian market, but that seems a bit 'convenient' to me.
