Nanny,
Read about a distribution agreement with Openshaw to distribute
Presstek consumables -- Think, Jason's Mom answered it in the
link she posted. Was Interested in the 'size' of coverage, in this
case it's the United Kingdom. ( more evidence on why there is
a globe in PRSTs logo )

From the dotprint site in conjunction with Toray plates:
"One of these is in the form of the new waterless printing systems found on the Heidelberg DI. This is probably the first commercially available implementation of imaging waterless plates using ablation that is in direct competition to Toray.
The Heidelberg DI makes its plates using the Presstek thermal imaging technology which requires no post exposure processing and water for printing. While this is not strictly offset printing in the way it is commonly accepted, what is important here to appreciate is the plate technology is portable.
Presstek recently signed an agreement with Openshaw for it to distribute the Presstek Gold series of plates. The concept is of a multi-layered plate in which by thermal imaging (or any other form of laser) the various layers, each with its own characteristic (such as being hydrophilic), and the aluminium surface can be exposed to whatever threshold necessary to achieve waterless printing. The technology behind Presstek and the same principles that came to light with DuPont's processless ctp plate based around the Silverlith plate look set to open the concept of waterless to competition."
