I agree; you cannot solve the entitlement problem, which is THE problem; but you can force government to shrink and thereby bring politicians to the table to work on them. I think. At the end of the day if you can't solve the Medicare, SS, and unfunded government pensions problems, nothing else is REALLY going to make any difference. At this point, most Americans don't even believe it IS a problem, so the likelihood of a solution is becoming ever more distant. Hate to say it, but until people start feeling the pain, there really isn't any hope.
