The mealy mouthed Republicans to whom you refer are Authoritarian. They have a great deal in common with liberals. They all want big government to control lives. The problem freedom loving people have is that elected officials seek power to have power. The vast majority want power over people, which requires government control over people's lives. This is Authoritarianism. The current pope is an Authoritarian. Hitler was an Authoritarian. Wingnuts are Authoritarians.
