First who gets paid first when there is only X amount of dollars to spend?

Constitutionally and by common sense, the interest payments on the debt come first.

All the Constitution says that the US is forbidden to default on its debts. It doesn't prioritize those debts.

But even if its possible to pay all US debts without raising the debt ceiling..............how does that solve our problems? So many other things will not get paid and the country will be in an economic tailspin.

Its amazing what you and your fellow Rs are willing to risk to get your way.
