Michael, I don't believe HungryLion was kicked off SI for anything he said on the SI thread although it is possible that Jill thought some of his posts were slandarous. The first item in the terms of use include a reference to harassment. I have been receiveing e-mail from an individual with the e-mail adress Gabenson. Several other people on this thread have as well. The e-mails were directly related to Naxos and were obnoxious. I forwarded one of those e-mails to Jill with the following covering message (in part) I have forwarded you an e-mail I have recieved from someone who is reponding to my posting on the Naxos thread of SI. This is not the first message I have recieve from this individual and there was considerable discussion on the thread last week as numerous people atarted receiving messages. Someone linked a message to a poster named "Gidget" who had this as an e-mail address although that name has not appeared on the Naxos thread. The messages did not however appear at the same time as the appearance of a poster named "HungryLion" who has used similar language in direct responses to me on the thread. I do not know if there is anything you can or would care to do about such private messages. I am also not unduly offended as I can always erase these messages. I am concerned at what appears to be manipulative practices by this individual and am providing this information to you in case you have been informed of other activity by this individual. If this is what got HL kicked off then Jill must have had other info. I am a life long Libertarian and a firm beleiver in free speech. Harassment, libel and slander are not free speech. But I was prepared to continue debating the points with HL because I believe he is wrong. You mention at the end of your post that you have investigated his comments and beleive they have some merit. I would be very interested in your opinion on what you have found. I have investigated some of his comments and beleive he is wrong. I am open to the possibility I am wrong and would value your comments.
