Monopoly on what, gaming?

Mike, why don't you and your sources get friggin a clue before you make blind statements about Microsoft--to people like you, everything they do is bad. Some people are more objective. You're like the kind of people that I can't stand who take everything the wrong way.

Anyway, why don't you visit some other popular gaming sites--Mplayer and TEN, for example:
mplayer.com ten.net .

Notice how you have to download their special client software??? (read: you can't use Netscape) That's a bit proprietary, no? All internet gaming is. What Microsoft is doing, is using ActiveX with their web browser to run Internet Gaming Zone. If they didn't do that, you'd have to download a complete and seperate software package in order to play.

The only thing Netscape is good for on ANY gaming service is to download the software. And I just checked, you can use Netscape to download the ActiveX components of the Zone.
