I consider the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle (HUP) as the most important fact ever discovered by the human species about the universe and how it works.

It caused the greatest debate in the last century between Einstein and his relativity group and the quantum guys: Dirac, Bohr, Shrodenger, etc.

It had to do with not being able to know both the exact position and velocity of anything. The more you know about one, the less you know about the other.

Einstein eventually admitted defeat.

Heisenberg was a kook who like to go in the hills with a machine gun.

But he was sure smart.

Got to run.
