Congressional approval has languished at about 12-18% for years. Fewer than one in five voters approve, yet keep re-electing the same a$$hats. Of course, given the grave social discord, it appears that Congress is merely a reflection of society now. Perhaps balkanization is the best solution -- a full divorce between Left and Right. The gulf is obviously far too wide to bridge.
