Do you realize that the bottom half of the people in this country pay almost no income tax? Here is what you get if you google, "the top 5%"

The top 5% pay 58.66% of the income tax

The bottom 50% pay 2.5% of the income tax.

I don't care whether it's the bottom half or the top half gaming the system. Both do it, I know. I think everybody should pay a share of taxes. I remember about 30 years ago Congress 'simplified' the system, but the only thing they did was get rid of the tax brackets, as I recall. That was the only part of the monstrous regulations we live under that I understood. Bring the brackets back and ditch the complexity, is what I think should happen.

The tax code is onerously complicated. That is wrong, in my opinion.

Help me out with some numbers on the following:

"Entitlements for the wealthy far exceed all other socio-economic classes in the US today, imo.
Tax the wealthy and reduce entitlements for all. The wealthy have given less and less to our 'State of Union'
with their concepts of Global Trade and outsourcings. The America people are 'Fed' up with the con job."

In addition to some numbers - please tell me how we are going to sell to others but not buy from them. IMO what the American people need is a little truth as to what their responsibilities are to make themselves able to compete in the modern world and who is depriving them of the opportunities to make themselves competitive.
