In other words, they surrender. Despite all the Sturm and drang, they are raising the white flag. The House Rs are an embarrassment to this country. The next question is, will they pay for the damage done? Of course not. Its not their fault. Its our fault for not agreeing with them.

Do you think the Democrats really wanted a 3-month reopening of government and extension of the debt ceiling? Sequestration has been tremendously successful, cutting a substantial sum out of the budget and saving new debt, with no downside, whatsoever. To the extent Republicans can force a more rational application of the next round that's probably a good thing, though.
