Pretty much. It was inevitable that it would come to this. The only surprise is how rapidly it is going once it got started. We have Cruz to thank for this. If he ever dreamed he would be the Republican nominee, that is pretty much out of the window at this juncture. I suppose you can say that he planned on splitting off the Teahadis because he definitely would be their candidate. But it is painfully obvious he never had a plan. He was just playing by ear, which is why things spun so far out of control.
