No opinion on Corel yet Joe. It looks very enticing to jump in and gobble up what you can at these low prices BUT do keep in mind that NOVL still has to get rid of the remaining 90% they hold and with that
overhanging the market, COREL stock will probably remain low for some time to come and we don't want to end up with another dead stock do we ?.

The CFO resigned last week and that is a negative for the stock. Also, the email addresses for the board members has been removed from their web page. Put all this together and you have to ask yourself, what else besides CorelDraw v7.x does this company have to sell ? It is in no better shape than NOVL.
Perhaps, NOVL can buy back the WP and Borland suite by giving back the Corel shares in exchange and then try another crack at breaking up the MSFT monopoly. Perhaps NOVL can buy IBM and try to break up MSFT monopoly or better still, perhaps NOVL should buyout MSFT...I don't know what I am saying but if you get the drift...NOVL is in deep s*it as is Corel. Better to stay away from both and concentrate on the likes of ORCL, MSFT, NSCP, IBM, CPQ, SUNW. At least they are the leaders in their respective markets and show promising growth. Corel at best could be a takeover candidate...for MSFT that is.

V.K

Joe,

Good buy on ORCL. DOn't know what this stock will do short term, but long term I can't see this stock go anywhere but up. Let all these "pros" worry about what ORCL will do the next couple of days. I plan on just letting Larry Ellison make the dough for me in the long term.

CPQ been a lager for the past several weeks compared to DELL; however, I have feeling CPQ will see a nice pop in the up and coming weeks. Did you read the latest IDC numbers citing CPQ as #1 in all sectors?

Did you sell your NOVL shares?

-Eddie
