Limbaugh lashes out at GOP: Most ‘irrelevant’ political party in my memory

Conservative media behemoth Rush Limbaugh lashed out at the Republican Party on Wednesday, roundly castigating the GOP for failing to up-end the Affordable Care Act — also known as Obamacare. According to Talking Points Memo, the talk radio titan blasted Republicans as powerless and “irrelevant.”

“I was trying to think earlier today if ever in my life I could remember any major political party being so irrelevant,” Limbaugh said Wednesday. “I have never seen it. I have never seen a major political party simply occupy placeholders, as the Republican party is doing.”

“There hasn’t been any opposition, no serious opposition,” he complained. “There may have been votes against this or that. But in terms of…a package of principled beliefs of opposition expressed daily by party leaders against what’s happening in this country, there hasn’t been.”

TPM pointed out that just last week, Limbaugh claimed that even if Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) don’t succeed in defunding the Affordable Care Act, they have “already succeeded.”

“The defund effort, to me, happened to be attractive because it was led finally by somebody who could articulate conservatism. Ted Cruz,” Limbaugh mused on Oct. 10. “Maybe there’s a point where it’s considered successful even if they don’t reach that specific goal.”

LOL. That was a great post. Unfortunately for you, wry humor doesn't sit well with Chinu.

BTW, my mistake was letting Alex get under my skin. Usually, I take him with a grain of salt, but he's such a flaming asshole that this time he got under my skin and I lost it. Of course, on the Obama thread, where everyone is perfect, losing it is not allowed if you are not a full-throated Obama supporter.

Anyway, enough said. I'm done with that thread for a long while and I'm calm now. Time to start posting the things that should open people's eyes to what's happening. That's all we're all trying to do anyway. Open everyone's eyes so we can be more introspective.
