You are right - the answer to the "mystery" behind Ron's wife's lower premiums is that the scheme tends to favor older people. Indeed, this is typical of socialized medicine arrangements - the money comes from everyone, usually in the form of taxes, while the biggest users are the older folks.

One concern about ObamaCare, IMO, should be the question of where will the money for all those massive "subsidies" and other new costs come from. "Government paying" sounds nice, but our government is long broke - by now, probably, busy borrowing its 18th trillion.
