The Chinese see through the smoke. There is only more spending and borrowing. To think your a-likes tried to say China was down on the republicans.

"The fundamental situation that the debt growth rate significantly outpaces that of fiscal income and gross domestic product remains unchanged," Dagong said in the statement, adding Washington's solvency was vulnerable as old debts were still repaid through raising new debts.

"Hence the government is still approaching the verge of default crisis, a situation that cannot be substantially alleviated in the foreseeable future," it said.

Bentway,
Don't get your panties in a bunch, it's a friggin' PROPOSAL by an organization America largely ignores.

The seeds are being planted.

Pretty soon Barack "Spread the wealth" Obama will be agreeing to the proposal.

Only reason why he hasn't yet is because he supposedly fears those oh-so-evil Republicans.

The Cyprus bail-in was a proposal until all of the sudden it was real and depositors lost a shit load of money. You bet I'll get my panties in a wad. Exactly who do you think is floating trial balloons at the IMF? You think the US officials in the Dem party aren't thinking the same thing? I mean come on. We know the Dems are Socialists first and everything else second. The idea of a 10% one time tax must make them cream in their pants. All that money to spend and not enough time.
