We don't know yet if Paul is/was right about the other issue he is most noted for - deficit spending problems. We haven't faced any of those problems yet so he could be right about that too. What got little press - during the severity of the most recent crises - was China's comments almost ordering us to fix our fiscal mess and get the government running again. I don't find that comforting. It's a collision course in the making as China gets stronger and we get weaker. Those thinking that the debt with China is a good thing because interest rates are low - couldn't be more wrong!
