I remember forcing a DJ in San Diego to play Iterstellar Overdrive by calling in every night , my brother and friend when we lived behind his juice bar in Carlsbad.. I think the album was named Piper at the gates of Dawn. It was before Dave Gilmore, Syd Barrett was the guitarist. He had a breakdown. He never rejoined but he was the inspiration for "wish you were here". He had a solo album "In my fireplace I keep an air conditioner". Barret never really was normal again. Roger Waters and Dave Gilmore were the most creative.
