Z,
If I'm not mistaken, you've advocated for a wealth tax to replace the income tax on more than one occasion.
Not a one-time seizure of assets, which essentially punishes savings.

As for the "wealth tax" itself, I advocated that in favor of an "income tax" only as a vehicle for taxing the rich.

Personally, I think a flat income tax (above a certain threshold) is the way to go. It's the most steady form of income tax revenue and less subject to the vicissitudes of the economy. A steady income stream is vital to fund steady government services. Everyone contributes, and those who make more pay more. It's that simple.

Only when liberals start looking at ways to close the gap between rich and poor do they start getting the bright idea of "progressive tax curves" that do nothing but ensure the rich remain an exclusive group.
