This press release seems like a logical way to counter some of their competitor's rhetoric. A lot of it is old news. I wonder how much ongoing access customers need to Ancor's systems engineers. We already know that you can install an FC LAN in a few hours and that the MKII's MTBF is 10 years (with a single power supply). It would seem that Ancor components are low maintenance.

More fluff. It does point out Brocade's weakness in the very important
area of ability and committment to support the customers. Brocade's
WEB site advertises emailing them with problems which is ludicrous
when you think this stuff runs in mission critical environments.

However, it is still fluff. Points out having nothing real to counter
Brocade's press.

IMHO Customer service is EXTREMELY important, not only in making a sale, but in keeping your customers happy so they will come back!
This is a sign of a maturing company. Can you imagine IBM without a product support program?
John Chambers reviews his 10 biggest accounts DAILY, and personally calls them on a regular basis.
This is not a major contract, but it is important, none the less... Good Management and Sales!!!wj
