Good question Neeka...They currently get emergency help, but that's what Obama would have us believe --having Obamacare would be the answer... I KNOW for sure having been to ER a few times, that NO ONE gets in without photo ID...but granted, maybe some do....I'm sure not there all the time, but the times I have been photo ID is a necessity.

If I were an investigative reporter that gave a dang about truth, I'd be haunting the ER all the time...just to see if any were turned away without photo ID....

Personally, I think the illegal voting thing is just smoke and mirrors....You just can't get anything without photo ID....

Do those Food Stamp cards that appear as a credit card have to have photo ID....IF not, WHY not?

An undocumented women comes into an emergency room because she's in labor

They have to help her. They can't refuse treatment because of lack of insurance or documentation.

The same thing that will happen when an American citizen that pays a penalty and has no insurance goes in. The hospital will swallow it and pass it on in higher ER fees.

Obamacare doesn't solve that problem at all.

They have no choice but to care for that patient.

They recoup their losses by essentially overcharging those with insurance, a practice which the government turns a blind eye to. So, if you have insurance, you're subsidizing the care of the underinsured and the non-insured.
