Organized medicine invariably opposes wider scopes of practice and independent practice of nonphysician health professionals
I find this curious - opposition to allowing nurses to practice independently is presented as baseless medieval "guild-erism" on the part of "organized medicine". BUT introducing 18 hundred bills in 2 years is NOT "organized"? They mean to say that this is just spontaneous, grassroots demand coming from patients? No big bucks and vested interests pushing it?
