Stephen Meyers tackles the Cambrian, knows all about it, what does he have to say about the 500mil yrs following this, or the 4000mil yrs before? You don't even see the clown act for the carnival barker tactics you're trying to pursue, fortunately science doesnt have the luxury to be so selective with ignoring 100's of millions of yrs. Science today isn't for Bozos...

The problem of how life began will most certainly be solved, don't let scientists using metaphors like "magic stuff" encourage you and your denial is negated by 4000yrs of proof of exposure to the contrary. What ever those conditions are & steps of mechanisms are that create that affinity for greater steady states of energy & joinings in carbon based chemistry, they will be found. Men keep discovering secret after secret, processes in nature that are stunningly revolutionary, each leading to the next step.

Getting beyond geocentric misconceptions wasn't such a big deal, that kind of exceptionalism from a human pov was predictable as their own religious exceptionalism. Discovering how every solar furnace is fusing new material together was an undreamed of alchemy, following after the discovery there are 400Bil galaxies out there and every star doing it. Just when whats thought incredible & only impossible, along come more discovery, super novas & the creation of even heavier elements in their explosions. These are to become the new materials are touchstones for life, in composition of certain % of planets to form later.

These aren't small discoveries, the magnitude is beyond anything that could have been imagined before just 300yrs ago, and the strange thing is, all these very impossible material alchemies are proven to be right. If there is anything magical about the Universe, science has handed 1000's of examples of them on a silver platter.

Yet to see any evidence offered for one supernatural event , one deviation from natural process, one intervention. I suppose you would point to the existence of all the good conservatives of Texas, an exceptionalism we can all appreciate! ;o)

* The Egyptians felt the same way about themselves for over 4000yrs, oh, there's Stephen Meyer pointing all the way back to the Cambrian, the God of the Gaps just keeps getting farther & ferther out. Watch out, if you keep reaching back farther & farther, the next step in your logic will find you at the event horizon of a SMBL and you about to fall in. Atoms torn apart---Poof!

The one thing you can be sure of, is you're---> FOS.

Besides the monkey throwing manure when upset, human & animal dung qualify very nicely as "magic stuff". Once discovered as beneficial for crops, this allowed far longer term relationships to the land & staying in one place. Stability is what you're looking for, from there culture & knowledge can accumulate.
