Virgil, I said ALSC was a memory gamble.

I agree with your figures but they understate the market value of the Fab investments that ALSC has made. The Risk problem that I have with TSEMF is that is is not a "pure play". All the talk about new directions is in any area except those that they have traditionally been sucessful. If TSEMF wants to be a fab then I'll compare them with TSM, Chartered, UMC, Orbit. I can find out about yields and wafer costs and make a good estimate of earnings. If they want to be a Flash company than lets compare them with XICO, ATML and co. This is seen by the street as Risk in that it makes it very difficult for an outsider to understand the factors that will effect earnings.

Anyway don't misunderstand me I think TSEMF is a great copamy, however I have not seen it put in the base yet that should signal the bottom.
