Interestingly, one of the major subcontractors working on the exchange is.. IBM.
All the stuff they have tried to load in there is just too much. I'm starting to think its a design problem.
Probably would have worked better if they had an account sign up page which you then print out and take
to your local Social Security office. That'd be a zoo, too.
The first months of Social Security 1935-36 also saw long lines of people waiting to sign up at federal offices.
Of course back then there were long lines for everything, including bread, in many places.
Eventually, most sign ups were handled in the U.S. Mail, quaint service that it now is..
