We keep our nut jobs in check. It is scary to we liberals though when we watch Bachman, West or Louie Gohmert. Palin could have been president. That was very irresponsible of the pubs to put her in that position.

I will grant you that the Republican party has always attracted a less introspective type of loon. Which is why Buckley cleaned house. But, post-Nixon the Republican leadership decided to let them back in. And then under old 666, the loons started their rise to prominence. Now the inmates run the asylum. There are always nutjobs everywhere........Dems, Rs, Independents. What I find remarkable is how acceptable those nutjobs are to the GOP.
