Few of them can.

Brumar called Colbert a simpleton. Another poster took exception to that. My response:

One can and must use simple observation to get through most of life e.g. is that a lion in the bush looking to eat us-lol?

Brumar and I have an almost exact opposite understanding of reality.

But if you want to engage in science. Then one way would be to run a statistical correlation like this:

Poll people on two questions:

One: do you like Steven Colbert?

Two: do you believe in evolution?

Then correlate the two answers. I would bet a months pay that most people who like Colbert also believe in evolution and most people who do not don't.

Science considers evolution a fact ergo people who like Colbert are more factual based than people who do not.
