Ultralife will receive next week the final piece for their automated production line for the lp batteries. The high speed cell manufacturing machine. Acceptance tests have been completed. After set up the company expects to start producing lp batteries in the begining of 1998.

The state of Oregon has enacted a law that requires that all smoke detectors sold in the state have batteries that are guaranteed for 10 years. At the present time ULBI has the only 9v lithium battery that is guaranteed for 10 years
