There will be more folks sign up on the low end - who will get large subsidies or those with pre-existing conditions Thanks - I missed that. I don't see any parsing of the data, I am sure the government has it (I poked around the health care site before it went live) and from the data collection and interfaces to outside entities, they seem to be trying to collect a ton of data. It may be so messed up that none of it is reliable at this point. When one devises a system with a lot of sticks and carrots, folks tend to find a way to grab the carrot and dodge the stick. This is a system designed by lawyers who are not picture folks so they design the system from the bottom up rather than adhering an elegant architecture. Another aspect that I don't see / understand is the ramifications on Corporate plans. I won't see how my old company deals with it (I am on Cobra) for another 3 weeks or so. My old company had a variety of options / insurance companies. Waiting to see the affect on choices / costs / coverage.
