I don't know if I'm a special case, but I'd like to know where you stand. About two years ago I sent in a check for some level of membership. I don't think it was life, but I don't remember what level it was. Somebody at your location offered to send the check back, but I said SI was valuable to me and to keep it, and as far as I know this was done. About this same time I got two SI T-shirts, which are still in use. My profile says I am a 'veteran,' but I don't know whether that means I've been around a long time (I have) or that I declined to have SI send back the check I wrote for whatever level it was. I do not want to make an issue of this. I am just asking. SI is very valuable to me, and I can tolerate banner ads if that's what you want to do.
