The report is good but forward looking statement is uncertain. I can't figure out what is the Book to bill ratio for the past quarter. Look like it may be below 1.0. Anyway, I hope this is a temporary situation and next year it should rebound strongly. Again it all depends on the Asia situation.

I reckon the chip stocks will be weak until this spring/summer. Then, however, I believe we start the major 3 year up cycle for chips. When the news of the normal spring slowdown hits and all the news is bad, then is the time to buy.

The last time this happened, most chip stocks rose 4-10 times in 3 years 92-95. LSI and VLSI and perhaps by then - I hope not - NSM are all near their multi-year lows. Set up for the next great run based on system on a chip. I'm going to do some more research over the next few months.

For LSI I reckon the price is around 20, for VLSI its around 15 and for NSM around 18.
