Mike,
Your concern about MAVK well taken. Well, investment requires taking risk and I think that MAVK has good upside potential, which should offset most of the downside risk.

About YURI's current PE, it really depends on how you look at the data. This is the last month of the FY97 for YURI and in one month (Jan., 1998), it suddenly appear that YURI's trailing PE will be 43 and forward PE at 26 (I got the consensus esitmate for FY PE at about 0.80). And you figure out the rest. I think that YURI has strong business and I have a friend who works for YURI and think that they are doing pretty well. Nothing is more precious than words from insiders. I learned the lesson from IDTC (I knew that they had a great previous quarter and is right now having a tremendous quarter and it will explode in Feb., 1998!) and ASND. I do believe that YURI is a strong buy at current price.

Same about PAUH. Absolutely ridiculous. They should meet that revised first call of 0.68 and might even do a bit better. And I like the fact that the stock is rolling between 15 and 22-32.

Also I will take a more careful look at YHOO. BTW, do you think that AMZN is a great short?

good luck,
larry
