Yes, I understand contributory negligence. you aren't absolved of liability, but you can shift a percentage to the parent. Way to protect yourself from your friends and neighbors. I hope I never feel so bad about people I call friends that i have to have releases written in order to shift some of the potential liability away from me should one of my friends or their children get severely hurt or die and it happens on my property. I think at that point, the last thing I would be worried about is liability, I'd be worried about the friend or their child, regardless of what percentage of the financial liability would fall on my insurance company or myself.

What a cold world this place has become.
