Paul, have you ever heard the saying "liars figure and figures lie"?

Don't you know that we know that you can make numbers say almost anything you want them to say? I mean, just take a look at what you said here <<<40 units a month=480 years>>>. May I assume that I would be correct in repeating that Paul's now talking about Heidelberg's inventory for the next 500 years? Or would I be correct in saying that Paul said Presstek would deliver to Heidelberg another 230,400 kits?

Give it a rest! You've been all over the board on this one and no one knows which scenario to buy anymore, there's been so many. Don't you ever get tired?

Geez!

IF your hypothesized calcs were to prove right, the answer is that it is surprising to me that you think the only developments in the Presstek arena for "offset[ing] this decline" will be plate sales and price increases to Heidelberg. This strikes me as a forest and trees problem.

Paul, I do not have the time right now to project the 1998 massive increase in plate usage and resulting huge 1998 earning income to Presstek for 700 Quickmaster DI presses by year end, however I will attempt to do so later.

When you add the highly successful GTO-DI press contributions, which are included in the number of kits shipped but are in addition to your 700 installed QMDI year end estimates....we have many times more DI presses imaging Presstek plates in the first quarter of 1998 than we did in Q-1, 1997! There were actually less than 100 QMDI presses installed by Dec. 1996. It is believed that Presstek earns as much from two years DI plate income, as an estimated royalty/kit sale provided the company. You do the math.

Neil

With the very strong dollar have you lowered your international sales number?
Another point (maybe I should be asking Jason's father), with the high unemployment levels in Germany do you see a slow down in Western Europe and what will that do to European Sales?
