Alright so let the NY legislature debate the free child care plan of DiBasio (thru free preschool) and the taxes needed without the overlay of whether or not we're doing anything of educational significance here.

Well, you are entitled to believe whatever you wish. But you need a few factual corrections.

1. His name is di Blasio and he's running for mayor of NYC. Thus the first fiscal issue is NYC taxes. But school taxes in NYC have some relation to the state so he will have to make the case at that level as well. Both debates will be interesting to watch.

2. It's clearly not "free" pre school since all taxpayers pay for it through their taxes. And receive the civic benefits of a better educated population.

3. I have little doubt that debates at the city and state level will have much to do with the merits of pre-k schooling. The Dem mayoral primary race was filled with discussions of affordability issues.
