I don't really get the argument -- it is one of the top couple of disagreements I have with the left, that somehow, we need to "do something" about success and punish those who are good at it.
It's hard to defend those who pay themselves generously for a job poorly done. Several CEOs come to mind, such as Leo Apotheker and maybe Hector "The Dissector" Ruiz. It would be nice if there was a way to fire them AND revoke their golden handcuffs.

But then again, when they screw up, it's only the shareholders and the employees of their respective corporations who suffer.

Meanwhile, 3/4 of this nation would love to vote everyone in Washington out of office and start anew. But that's not going to happen, either.
