When closing occurs under the Final Order of Sale, Bennu will be the owner of anything that ATP once owned and had any value. The rest of the "assets" will most likely be subject to a Chapter 7 filing. I predict no buyers will emerge for these "assets". This thing is done.

If the participating DIP lenders ever do turn a profit on this venture, handsome or otherwise, they will have earned it, since they are taking on considerable risk as well as considerable opportunity. They are doing what no-one else had the balls to do. Neither the industry nor the second lien class stepped up to the plate when the opportunity presented itself. It may well be that what they lack in balls they make up for in brains. We shall see.

Contrary to all the bullshit you may have read (and written) on this and other message boards concerning the unfairness of the auction process, the credit bid led by Credit Suisse was fully legitimized when they assumed the claims of the Telemark and Clipper ORRI/NPI holders. They won the auction fair and square on a level playing field. Anyone who claims otherwise is talking out of their arse. You stubborn nitwits don't like the outcome, but you're nitwits who pay little heed to real facts, so who cares.

I hope the new owners have better luck than the old ones. They are going to need some.
