2 reasons

1) CEO said they would make earnings (which is the major
contributing factor) this took away the worries that they
would preannounce a dissapointment.

2) Modem Standard is looking like it will be finalized soon.

I admit the rumor gave it a boost, but I beleive that ship has
sailed. The reason it isn't sellling off is because they have
more visibility about earnings.

This could all change in a general market donwturn which could
very well happen.

Just my opinion.

Looks Like Pair is ripe for the pickings. Recent upgrade an $40. 12 month target. Much more in a favorable light that asnd at the moment. Just wait till next week when the rumor is totally dead.

<<If what you say is true (fundamentals not rumors) then how come before the rumor
asnd was:
A. Low volume
B. Trading below 25
After the Rumor:
A. High volume
B. Trading over 25>>

Tim, you are missing the fact that when ASND said they were comfortable
with Q4 the SECOND time, it is with two months of the quarter already
"in the bag". Analysts that were skeptical before would tend to be
convinced now. Remember Joel Noel's comment that "lots of people
realized ASND was not going bancrupt". That day we turned a corner.
