Jim, Here's all insider trading activity on SGI from July to December 5, according to insidertrader.com:

144 filings
>August/2 VP's/216,000 shares/avg price when registered 25
>September/2 VP's/70,000 shares/avg price when registered 27.75

Form 4
>July 29/VP/sold 156,000 shares/24.5
>August 4-29/3 VP's/sold 130,000 shares/27.375

Jim, <imho> More to do with marketing success at Sun than marketing failure at SGI. Sun has been in UNIX box expansion mode since day 1, originally against other UNIX box providers, now against the PC.

Focus: Everyone at Sun knows their "Beat NT or Die" mission in life which also helps.
