I would assume It's down because oracle missed earnings and is down 9+ so far.

Raj, IMO Orcl was the culprit in this sell-off. Quite a bit of their business comes from Asia, this intensified the talk what the Asian downdraft could do to earnings in the next cpl. of qtrs.

About the data on world markets you can go to Yahoo, click on Worldmarkets and bingo. Let me know if it works for you. I have my cpt. set up for Yahoo.
