Christine, I once laughed at Mr. Rogers for acting like a dork, but I am much more supportive of his program now. He does things verrrry slowly and deliberatly and is very repetitive from day to day, but that is a good counterbalance to the rapid fire images that children are assaulted with from cartoons and such. I was floored once when my 21 year old son, who you know is in a heavy metal band, told me out of the blue that he admired the way Mr. Rogers did his show!

I am really geting tired of programs that can't keep the camera on a scene for more than 5 seconds. It has caused a lot of people to lose idea retention. The new spinning, sliding, zooming graphics have made it worse. There is not much in-depth thinking anymore. All you get is knee-jerk answers out of people who watch that stuff.
